Play Poster
This play poster was created as a way to advertise a Shakespeare play. a headline was brainstormed and crafted to catch the reader's attention and convey the meeting of the play without giving too much information away. Furthermore, new artistic tools were learned through Photoshop to create a realistic drawing of a cape in a digital media. finally, a typographic lock up was designed to convey important information without taking away from the composition of the poster.
Manchester Tourism
In a computer graphics class at TCU, I was asked to create two icons to represent landmarks from a city or destination. I was inspired by the stadium of my favorite soccer team, Manchester City. I also found the architecture of Manchester City's town hall interesting because of its triangular shape.
To start the process, I researched different styles of icons and collected photos of the buildings. Then I drew thumbnails in different styles of the buildings before narrowing down the drawings and refining the details. Finally, I used Illustrator to digitize my ideas using tools like the Pathfinder and the pen tool.
Using illustrator tools and design methods I then created a realistic drawing of a player to add interest to a poster. Furthermore, Illustrated the five trophies that the team had won in the previous year to add texture to the bottom of the poster. the icon designed to represent the city was then used as an abstract way of showing the team's power.
