Lyric Video

Inspired by one of my favorite bands, I created a lyric video for a section of the song “I Wish I Was” by the Avett Brothers. The song feels like a poem that dances around the listener, filling them with emotions. To reflect these feelings, I chose a verse that used my favorite metaphors throughout the song before moving into the chorus. I used my knowledge of Adobe After Effects to convey the meaning and tone of the poetic song. By selecting contrasting typefaces, one font family represented the strong emotions that the writer was feeling, while the other reflected the poetic nature of his metaphors.
